Safe Litter Picking
Your safety is our priority. Please follow these guidelines when participating in cleanups:
🛑 DO NOT pick up hazardous or sharp objects such as needles, broken glass, knives or weapons. Instead, notify Poplar Picks Coordinators or report them using one of the following methods:
Tower Hamlets Council Reporting: Android App / Apple Maps
FixMyStreet App: Link
Metropolitan Police Non-Emergency: 101 (for dangerous items like knives & weapons)
✔️ What You CAN Pick Up:
Plastic or glass bottles, cans, food wrappers.
Cigarette butts and bottle caps.
Paper & cardboard.
General rubbish.
❌ What You CAN'T Pick Up:
Sharp objects (broken glass, needles, knifes).
Weapons
Heavy or hazardous waste.
Dead animals.
